Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets to the 23rd Annual TD Banknorth Pops by the Sea concert are available online at www.artsfoundation.org/pbts.html#tickets. General admission tickets can also be purchased at TD Banknorth branches, Christmas Tree Shops, and the Puritan Clothing Store in Hyannis starting on July 9, 2008.
 

How many people does the Village Green hold?
We will be selling tickets to accommodate an audience of 15,000 people. The Green is expected to reach capacity by 4:00 PM. We encourage you to come early as parking and lawn seating are first come, first served.
 

May I see the concert from the street?
No. To ensure public safety, the sidewalks of the streets that border the concert area will be kept open for the regular movement of residents and visitors. It is not possible to stand outside of the Hyannis Village Green and watch the concert from the sidewalk.
 

Will I have a good view of the concert from the lawn?
Yes, lawn seats provide a good view of the orchestra. We also suggest that guests arrive early to get the best seat possible.
 
 

What security must I pass through to get into the Hyannis Village Green?
Every person entering may be checked by security. This may include all belongings - similar to concert security at many venues.  There is no alcohol allowed on the Village Green.
 

May I reenter the Hyannis Village Green area?
Every person entering will be required to wear their ticket on a string attached to their clothing at all times. A special stamp will be placed on both the hand and the ticket of guests wishing to leave and reenter the Village Green area.
 

What time can I get onto the Hyannis Village Green?
Gates open at 1:00 PM. We encourage you to come early as parking and lawn seating are first come, first served.
 
 
 

Where do I park my car, and how close is it to the Hyannis Village Green?
There is no designated parking for Pops. Parking regulations for the Town of Barnstable will be in effect, and guests are asked to park only in designated areas of Hyannis. Handicapped guests may be dropped off, with a friend or family member to attend them, at designated locations on Ocean Street, Main Street, and South Street.
 

What time does the Hyannis Village Green reach capacity?
Usually by 4:00 PM. We encourage you to come early as parking and lawn seating are first come, first served.
 

Are there restrooms located within the Hyannis Village Green?
Yes, a number of portable restrooms will be on location.
 

Are there handicapped restrooms in the Hyannis Village Green?
Yes, a number of handicapped accessible portable restrooms will be placed on location.
 

Are there food vendors?
Yes, beverages from Coca Cola, fried dough, pretzels, popcorn, and other snacks will be on sale beginning at 1:00 PM. The Town of Barnstable inspects and licenses these vendors.  There is no alcohol allowed on the Village Green. 

What should I bring?
Food, drink, and coolers are permitted on the Village Green, and several food vendors will be on the Green as well. It is also a good idea to come equipped for the weather. Guests are encouraged to bring small blankets and short lawn chairs to sit on.
 

Are there event souvenirs for sale?
Yes. Pops by the Sea T-shirts have come to be regarded as collector’s items. These are available in adult and children’s sizes and feature original art designed specifically for this year’s event. High quality lithographic and posters of this year’s Pops artist’s commissioned painting are also available. A selected inventory of previous year lithographs and posters are also available for sale. In addition, the BSO will have a small booth where they offer selected items for sale.
 

If we arrive early, is there pre-show entertainment?
Yes. Pre-show entertainment will be presented from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on the side stage of the Village Green.  This year's exciting pre-show line-up will feature Tripping Lily, the Turner Avenue Quartet, and Kami Lyle. As we get closer to the event date please check this website for additional information on this year’s pre-show entertainment. We encourage you to come early as parking and lawn seating are first come, first served.
 

Are there restaurants near the Hyannis Village Green?
Yes. There are many excellent dining options for every budget in the immediate area. Contact the Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce or the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce for the names and contact information for these restaurants.

From Boston & points north:
Take Route 93 to Route 3 South. Follow over the Sagamore Bridge where Route 3 becomes Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway). Follow to Exit #6, Route 132 and bear right off exit ramp. Follow South on Route 132 to the Airport Rotary. Make the second right off the Rotary onto Barnstable Road. Stay on Barnstable Road to Main Street lights. Take a right on Main Street. Approximately ¼ mile on left is Hyannis Village Green.
 
From Springfield & points west:
Take Mass. Pike, Route 90 East. Follow to exit #11A, Route 495 South. Follow over Bourne Bridge, go ¾ around Bourne Rotary, pick up Route 6 East along the Cape Cod Canal. Follow until first set of traffic lights (near the Sagamore Bridge). Take a right to Route 6. Take Exit #6 and bear right onto Route 132. Follow South on Route 132 to the Airport Rotary. Make the second right off the Rotary onto Barnstable Road. Stay on Barnstable Road to Main Street lights. Take a right on Main Street. Approximately ¼ mile on left is Hyannis Village Green.
 
From New York/Connecticut and points south:
Take I-95 to Providence, Rhode Island. Take exit #20 to Route 195 East. Follow to Route 25 South (exit #22) to the Bourne Bridge. Go over Bourne Bridge, go ¾ around Bourne Rotary, pick up Route 6 East along the Cape Cod Canal. Follow until first set of traffic lights (near the Sagamore Bridge). Take a right to Route 6. Take exit #6 and bear right onto Route 132. Follow South on Route 132 to the Airport Rotary. Make the second right off the Rotary onto Barnstable Road. Stay on Barnstable Road to Main Street lights. Take a right on Main Street. Approximately ¼ mile on left is Hyannis Village Green.

How do I get there by Air?
Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines at the Barnstable Municipal Airport provides direct flights to and from Boston, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. There are other airlines with direct flights to and from Newark and New York.
 

How do I get there by Bus?
Plymouth & Brockton Bus Company provides hourly, scheduled motor coach service between Logan Airport, downtown Boston, Plymouth and throughout Cape Cod. Charter services are also available. There are other bus companies providing service from New York, Providence, and other locations. The Hyannis Transportation Center is within walking distance of the Hyannis Village Green.
 

How do I get there by Boat?
Full-service marine facilities are offered for pleasure craft in the nearby Hyannis harbor. There is daily ferry transportation to and from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket from Hyannis, on the Steamship Authority or on Hy-Line Cruises.

What happens if it rains?
The concert is held rain or shine. There are no refunds.
 

Are pets allowed on the Village Green?
No, only special needs dogs are permitted at Pops by the Sea.
 

Can I videotape the event?
No, due to copyright restrictions no filming is allowed.
 

Is there a way to reserve lawn seats?
No, lawn seats are first come, first served and cannot be claimed until the gates open at 1pm. They are all good seats, but it is recommended that guests come early.
