Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Awards $55,000 in Grants for the Arts in Fiscal Year 2004-2005
Centerville, MA, May 23, 2005 - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is the designated Local Arts Agency of Barnstable County. The goal of the Grants Program is to provide cash awards to support the art and cultural activities of local organizations and individuals. Grants are awarded to those applicants meeting the broadest goals of the Arts Foundation: to create a strong, stable and diverse arts and culture industry on Cape Cod, contributing to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region. In total, the AFCC granted $55,000 to 40 individual artists and arts organizations on Cape Cod.
The grants program is administered by a Community Grants Review Committee. The following distinguished community leaders and members of the Board comprised the Fall 2004 Grants Review Committee: Thomas Bagley, Cape Cod Crusaders, Clarke Buchanan, Sam Diego's Restaurant, Una Davidson, Sid's Furniture, Hia Dubin, Board of Directors, Steven Galvin, College Solutions Network, William Hough, Enterprise Newspapers, Michael Rabideau, Cape Cod Magazine, Carl Riedell, C. Riedell Plumbing and Heating, Randy Shepard, Eye Health Services, Jane Tardanico, Buyer Brokerage of Osterville and Nantucket, Margaret G. Grants are awarded twice a year. The deadline for the Fall Grants cycle is November 1, 2005. Guidelines will be posted on the Arts Foundation website in September.
