Cape Dairy and Arts Foundation of Cape Cod To Give Away 1,000 Free Pops by the Sea Tickets

Centerville MA, June 5, 2006 - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod announced today that over 1,000 free TD Banknorth Pops by the Sea concert tickets will be made available to 250 local families, thanks to a generous donation by the Cape Dairy Company. This special program, involving over twenty-five nonprofit health and human services agencies across Cape Cod, will provide free family lawn seating to the 21st Annual Pops by the Sea concert on Sunday, August 6, at 5:00 p.m. The concert, held on the Hyannis Village Green, marks the only Cape Cod appearance by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, featuring conductor Keith Lockhart and special guest conductor William Shatner.
“We are excited to support the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and the free family ticket program to the 2006 Pops by the Sea concert,” remarked Stephen Ward, owner of The Cape Dairy Company. “This program will provide an afternoon of quality entertainment to 250 deserving Cape Cod families.”
“We are very grateful to Cape Dairy for making this program possible,” said AFCC President, Margaret Van Sciver, “and to our twenty-five partnering health and human service organizations, as we work together to improve the quality of life on Cape Cod.”
The free tickets will be available through the Adopt a Foster Family Program of the Cape Cod Council of Churches, American Red Cross, Barnstable Fatherhood Program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands, The Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, Cape and Islands Council Boy Scouts of America, Cape Cod Child Development, Cape Cod Children's Place, Cape Cod Human Services, Cape Cod Literacy Council, Cape Head Injured Persons’ Housing and Education Group, Inc., Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Children’s Cove, Girl Scout Council of Southeastern Massachusetts, Gosnold on Cape Cod, Health Care of Southeastern Massachusetts, Independence House, Legal Services for Cape, Plymouth, and the Islands, Inc., Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children – Cape & Islands Chapter, Outer Cape Health Services, Safe Harbor, Sight Loss Services, Windsor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and the YMCA of Cape Cod.
