Passport to the Arts to be Unveiled May 30
Centerville MA, May 15, 2006 - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is pleased to announce the release of the new Passport to the Arts, a collaborative project involving 33 arts and culture organizations on Cape Cod to offer two-for-one admission to Passport holders for the next year. The 2006 Passport to the Arts will be unveiled at a special reception on Monday, May 30, and will be available online at www.artsfoundation.org following the unveiling.
“The Passport to the Arts is a truly unique program for the wonderfully cooperative spirit it fosters among diverse arts organizations as well as for the remarkable value it offers arts patrons,” noted Lisa Hergenrother, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.
Now in its third year, the Passport to the Arts has evolved from a small group of eight organizations to its current impressive roster of 33 theaters, museums, and historical sites, together representing the very best of the arts and culture of Cape Cod. The Passport is a beautifully designed, souvenir-quality booklet with information about each participating organization. Passport holders will be able to purchase two-for-one admission to any participating venue once during the course of the year. Each member venue sets its own restrictions and rules of use, so Passport holders must call venues in advance to ensure availability.
Participating organizations include the Academy of Performing Arts, the Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Cape Cod Opera, Cape Cod Theater Project, Cape Rep Theatre, Cape Symphony Orchestra, Chatham Chorale, Chatham Drama Guild, Chatham Historical Society, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, the Edward Gorey House, Eventide Arts, the Falmouth Historical Society and Museums, Four C’s Theater, Gloria Dei Artes/Stages Theater, Harwich Junior Theater, Heritage Museums and Gardens, John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, Monomoy Theater, the New Provincetown Players, Osterville Historical Society and Museum, Payomet Performing Arts Center, Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Sandwich Glass Museum, Shakespeare on the Cape, Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, and Woods Hole Community Theater.
The 2006 Passport to the Arts is underwritten by US Trust, with additional support provided by the Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation, the Massachusetts Office of Tourism and Travel, and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
